MEET THEM BELOW

Alicia Lewallen

Teacher

Alicia has been married to her husband, Justin, for 16 years. They have two sons, Caleb and Joshua. She loves the outdoors and spends most of her free time hiking, kayaking, or playing disc golf with her family. Alicia accepted Christ as a child but didn't see her faith come alive until she became active in a student ministry. She believes the teenage years are a critical time for faith development! Alicia and her husband have worked alongside each other in student ministry for the last 13 years but are now serving together at Maysville Baptist Church.

Alicia has a deep love for students and desires to see them grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Lord. Alicia is very excited about the opportunity to serve the students of Banks County through the Christian Learning Center!

Taylor Cagle

Executive Director

Taylor and her husband Dylan have been married for four years. They have a daughter, Lucy, and enjoy serving and sharing the gospel together as a family! Taylor and Dylan have both served in student ministry in Banks County for the last two years and have been involved with multiple school ministries, including FCA and CLC. Taylor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Georgia and is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Taylor shares that she is “thrilled to be joining the Banks County CLC team. I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use CLC to impact the lives of students, help share the Gospel, and lead alongside such an incredible community of believers!”

Avery Smith

Teacher

Avery was born and raised in Northeast Georgia, and graduated from Habersham Central High School in 2021. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Truett McConnell University and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Avery has been involved with CLC over the last few years; speaking at Gospel Week and attending special events. He enjoys reading, music, collecting baseball cards, and spending time with his golden retriever Hazel.

Avery shares that "the Lord has put a passion in my heart for seeing lives transformed by the gospel. Our students face challenges unlike any other generation before them and desperately need to be shown that faith in the living God makes a difference both now and for eternity. I can't wait to get to work seeing that accomplished at Banks County CLC, as students come to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and mind."

Karen Rogers
